The Occitanie community working on RNA (a fundamental molecule at the heart of gene expression and its regulation) gathers more than a hundred people who study the synthesis and function of a large repertoire of RNA in normal and pathological contexts through experimental and bioinformatics approaches The aim of this conference is to bring together this community to encourage and promote exchanges and new collaborations. All people involved in RNA research and students (doctoral and M2R students) who will participate in this conference work in joint university research laboratories (University of Toulouse or University of Montpellier) and CNRS, INSA, INRAE or INSERM. The research topics addressed during the conference will be transcription, ribosome synthesis, translation, RNA maturation pathways, functions and controls of the expression of small RNAs.
In 2026, the RNAOcc conference will be organized on June 22, in Toulouse at the Centre de Biologie Intégrative (CBI) of the Toulouse University. This day is connected to the "RNA & Cancer" workshop hosted at IUCT-0 amphitheater, Toulouse on june 23th.
